Good afternoon brothers and sisters of local 60. Verizon has a service outage from Washington DC through NY. Crewcaller’s will attempt to text members from their back up phones. This will not be considered official notification. Secondly, if members were ordered to make their way home ie Uber they should email me at jeromejohnson@utulocal60.com, and also advised to submit the receipt like you would submit tolls. The Carrier is supposed to provide members transportation to their sign up location. If members stayed the entire time until transportation was provided then members will be paid accordingly. Everyone needs to understand there isn’t a rule that says the Carrier has to pay members once the first train runs to the respective sign up location, when a member goes home. With that being said a member’s time will not be cut when they made their own way home.
